Goal

  1. Develop a strong urologic clinical and basic science knowledge base to allow residents to choose the appropriate diagnostic tools and management for a specific urological problem.
  2. Progressively increase experience of residents in patient management to treat urologic problems in an effective and timely manner and learn to act independently in clinical decision-making and therapeutic management.

Objective

  1. Progressively increase surgical skills of residents in performing all major urologic procedures by the end of residency.
  2. Participate in an academic course of study during each year of residency which will assist in clinical decision making process and therapeutic strategies.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to manage urological emergencies, basic urologic procedures and common urologic problems like stone disease, BPH etc. with their diagnosis and management.

      Consultancy cabin, Examination room for Minor procedures and dressing room.

  • IPD includes 30 bedded Urosurgery ward, Grand rounds conducted every Tuesday and Friday where group discussion is done regarding patient treatment plan, prognosis along with pre & post-operative patient management.
  • 24x7 Emergency service is available for all types of Urological emergencies.
  • Fully equipped operation theatre available 3 times a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) for elective surgeries and available 24x7 for emergencies.
  • Specialty OPD: Kidney Transplant/ Follow up clinic, Impotence and Infertility, Paediatric Urology, Female Urology, Stone clinic.
  • Specialized services offered such as  Endourology, Laparoscopic Urology, Uro-oncology, Kidney Transplantation, Andrological procedures like testicular biopsy
  • Urodynamic and Uroflowmetry-Mediwatch UK made machine fully computerized and latest machine including EMG.
  • Advance Endourology armamentarium such as Holmium laser, Flexible ureteroscope.
  • Renal Transplantation in CKD patients at affordable cost with specially dedicated donor and recipient OT’s with special KT ICU.
  •  Open Urological Surgery for large renal stones/bladder stones, staged urethroplasties for long segment urethral strictures, pyeloplasty for PUJ obstruction , Uro-oncological surgery-  for large RCC’s & bladder tumors.
  •  Superspeciality Camp: A unique initiative to provide super specialist facilities at distant village area and to make them aware of common urological problems and their treatment.
  • ESWL for renal and upper ureteric stones less than 1.5 cm, USG or C-Arm guided with advance Siemens lithotripter.
